Guests (but hopefully not for long!)

We are very happy to have you visit our website and we hope to meet you in person very soon.  On this page, we will attempt to answer some of your questions, so you will know what to expect on your first visit. 

Sunday Mornings

As you enter the front door you will be greeted by one of our members who will be able to direct you into the sanctuary for the worship service or to a Sunday School class. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our church.

Childcare

Children are very important at Wylie United Methodist and we have a place for yours. We offer a nursery for infants through 3-year-olds and have Sunday School classes in our "KidZone" for children from 4 years old through the 5th grade. We also have junior high and high school classes for youth. Children's Church is available for those ages 3 through 6 during the Sunday morning worship service. 

Worship Service

Our worship service begins at 10:30 in the morning with praise and worship led by a team of musicians with guitars, piano, and keyboard. We love all kinds of music and blend contemporary praise songs with traditional hymns.

After a time of praise, announcements, and a short greeting time, we invite all the children from ages 3 through 6 to gather at the front for a children's sermon. Immediately following this, the children have the opportunity to participate in their very own Children's Church and have their parents pick them up after the worship service.

Following the children's sermon, we continue the service with prayer, worship songs, and a scripture-based sermon to inspire us as we are sent back out into our community.

What To Wear

We want you to be comfortable, so we don't require you to dress any certain way. You will find that some people will wear business attire while others will dress more casually. The choice is yours.

For Those with Disabilities

There is wheelchair access to the building and once inside, we have an elevator to take you to the upper level.  If you need a little help in hearing the service, we have SoundMate personal listening devices for you to use on Sunday mornings. Just stop by the Sound Booth in the back and they will get you fixed up.
